Empathy: Gospel Mandate Challenging our Culture

Email Print

Contemplative Boy StatueWe live in a dysfunctional adolescent male culture that publicly identifies empathy as weak, spineless, feminized men and even anti-Christian. This day is for spiritual directors, counselors, and anyone interested in the power of empathy.

Empathy is not only a human quality but a doorway to the numinous experience of the Divine. It must be handled carefully to be healing and generative. Come and share in glorious empathy.

This is an in-person retreat at Mariandale, and includes a luncheon at noon.

About the Presenter: Don Bisson, FMS, is a Marist Brother, known both nationally and internationally for his work as a retreat director and presenter in the area of spirituality and Jungian psychology. He has a Doctor of Ministry Degree from the Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley, CA.
