Stone Upon Stone: How Clothes Can Inspire Social and Environmental Repair

Print

"Sint Sink," the indigenous name for the land that we minister on which is today called Mariandale, translates to "Stone upon Stone." In this series we will cultivate attention to the land we walk upon, both here in Ossining, NY, and all the places that you find yourself.

Each of our three guests will help us to explore land justice through a lens of Integral Ecology which recognizes that the "cry of the earth is the cry of the poor." Each session will deepen our attention to earth through prayer and conversation with one another as we remember the land, seek to live in abundance, and reflect on our response to unjust systems. You can register indiviually for each session, or for the entire series.

This talk will use Catholic Social Teaching as a guide in charting a more just path forward in "mending the world." Céire Kealty writes and presents on topics related to Christianity, labor justice, and the environment.
