Let the surroundings of Mariandale inspire you at a summer workshop for a chance to explore your relationship to nature. The workshop will consider animal spirits as guides and connect with nature for reflection and perspective. Through visuals, writing prompts and collage, creative possibilities are endless as your immerse yourself in peace and solitude by discovering how to bring clarity and balance to an often chaotic world.

Please bring a pen and notebook or journal to the workshop. Our Mariandale outdoor pool overlooking the river will be open and available to workshop participants from 4-5pm. Bring your bathing suit and towel if you wish to swim and enjoy the view.

Dates: Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, at Mariandale.

About the Presenters:

Karen Rippstein began her career at New York Medical College before becoming a Certified Poetry Therapist, poet, and creative writing teacher. She has taught writing, poetry, and visual journaling workshops at colleges, spirituality centers, libraries, senior centers, and inter-generational programs at area schools. Karen's work has been published in numerous anthologies and magazines.

Lori Jo Siegel, MS Education, teacher, artist, musician, singer/songwriter, Reiki Master/Teacher and Creative Journal Expressive Arts facilitator and coach. She has taught numerous groups and offers creative tools to promote awareness, healing and change for emotional health and healing based on the The Creative Journal by Lucia Capacchione. Lori Jo recently released a CD of original songs and compositions entitled Circles of Love.
